Helen Keller was born June 27, 1880 in Tuscumbia AL. she was born with the senses of hearing and sight. Soon after she lost both of the senses. With the help of Anne Sullivan he mastered many methods of communication such as touch lip reading, Braille, speech typing, and finger spelling. She also learned words by having someone write them on her hand. She invented sign language and we have that today because of her. She became an author and wrote a book while blind and deaf. She traveled the world tell speech’s. She received many honors through out life. Helen Keller died while asleep a few weeks before her birthday.
